Mini Olympics
The children from Pluto, Jupiter and Neptune took part in a Mini Olympics event today. The event is run through our sports partnership with Gillingham School and gives an opportunity for Year 9 students to act as sports leaders by leading the various events. Each class was split into 3 teams with each team representing a different county. As well as taking part in sporting events each team had to produce a chant to celebrate their country.
It was also a chance for us to say goodbye to Miss Thompson from Gillingham School who will be retiring at the end of this academic year. Rosie has been our main sports link with Gillingham School and has organised a great number of primary school sports events over the many years that she has been there. We all wish her a happy and well deserved retirement.
