Letter from Mrs Williamson
Welcome back to the final half term of the academic year. As you know, some of our children are returning to a very different school that they left behind all those weeks ago.
With some of us at school and some of us at home, our Christian Value of ‘Koinonia’ for this half term, is very apt. Koinonia means ‘fellowship’ or ‘community’. At St Mary’s, we think of Koinonia as being ‘yoked together,’ all of us working together, making sure that everyone is included and loved in our school family. It is about the essence of being human and encompasses friendliness, caring about others and the willingness to go the extra mile for the sake of another. At this time, we are all still together, still thinking of everybody, still looking out for everybody until we can all be together again under one roof.
Thank-you to all our families for continuing to engage with activities on Class Dojo and Tapestry, I can personally confirm how lovely it is to see photos of the children and the wonderful work and other activities they are participating in at home; our staff really value these moments! Keeping in touch keeps us together.
If you are returning to school on June 2nd, please do keep to the social distancing markings as you enter the school grounds and please follow the guidelines set out in the letter sent to you through Parent Mail on May 21st.
Thank you for working with us to make the return to school as worry free as possible for our children and our staff.
