Football team returns to winning ways
After finishing as runners up in the North Dorset Football Tournament the Year 5 / 6 team has had a difficult season getting knocked out of the Davison Trophy in the first round and then struggling in the Dorset Finals. But despite this the team showed their true talent to win the Gillingham Area event held at Mere School. With some fantastic football skills and team work they beat all of the other teams finishing the top of their group and then beating St George’s 1-0 in the final. Throughout the tournament they didn’t let in a single goal. Well done SMTV!!
This also means for the Gillingham Area we are the current champions of the football, netball and hockey events.
